Our Philosophy and Process

No matter what the challenge, we take a creative, logical, and measurable approach to the planning and creative processes. Our goal is always to create an effective marketing plan and attractive designs that provide a significant return on investment for our client’s marketing budget. As a result, our clients know that their company will have a sound marketing plan, the materials to support it, and a definitive method to track their success.

They're not just cool buzzwords we say once and then forget. They're the words our wives and husbands hear us reciting in our sleep, what we spell out over and over in scrabble, and what puzzles our shrinks when we go in for a yearly check-ups. That's right; it's hard wired in our brain. And it's our brand.

Creative

Creative is more than just a fresh design. It's the way we develop solutions, from point A to point Z, to maximize the client’s budget while achieving the best possible results. That means creating effective marketing strategy and implementation … whether it is a marketing plan, collateral design or the corporate intranet--each component of the marketing mix sends a distinct message. At VL Design, the process begins with the personal way we work with you. Unlike other firms, we don't believe in the middleman. You work directly with your designer – so that nothing gets lost in translation. And, our design directors are principals in the firm – as owners they share a direct stake in your success.

Logical

With each step of a project we ask ourselves a simple question—Does this make sense? Not just to our staff or the client, but the target audience. Are we delivering the right message to the right people in the best medium to motivate them properly with our intended message? Are we doing it consistently and in the most cost effective manner?

The idea is quite simple, yet one that escapes a lot of companies. It’s a defining part of our process.

Measurable

Communication is one of the most important factors in life to get right. How does a great brand image, the right message, in the right medium delivered to the right customer translate into effective and efficient marketing? Through electronic reporting via the internet, version testing, customer satisfaction inquiries and bevy of other test methods we will track the success of each component of your marketing mix to make sure the direction you take is the best to achieve your goals.
